Oxi-Tech introduces Minister of State for Industry to Pulse Oxidation

Minister of State for Industry, Sarah Jones MP had the opportunity to learn about Oxi-Tech’s Pulse Oxidation and the potential to extend its usage to the health care sector whilst on a recent visit to Exeter Science Park, the company’s headquarters.

“It was an excellent opportunity to present to the Minister as part of the delegation from Exeter Science Park and inform her about Pulse Oxidation and it’s chemical free water disinfection benefits,” stated Oxi-Tech’s CEO Paul Morris. “We explained how we have developed an award-winning system that wipes out bacteria, viruses and the need for toxic chemicals, leaving pathogen free water.

“We are proud to have developed this technology here in the UK and we encouraged the Minister to help keep the funding for innovation groups such as UK Agri-Tech Centres as well as Innovate UK, in order to ensure game changing technology is not the sole preserve of multi-billion pound corporations. Support from the very top is vital for new sectors such as clean tech.”

He added: “Whilst Pulse Oxidation has been proven for usage in the dairy and poultry farming sectors, we made Ms Jones aware it also has the potential to replace water sanitation systems currently installed in health care systems and of our plans to extend its reach, initially to hospitals.”

  • Sarah Jones who is Minister of State for Industry at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and the Department for Business and Trade met with a small selection of companies delivering ground-breaking work from their Exeter Science Park labs and office. They were able to directly appeal to the Minister for support in areas such as greater investment in the south west, financial support for export and growth activities and greater Innovate UK support, especially for early stage businesses and start-ups. Exeter Science Park, which employs around 700 people across various high-growth businesses, contributes £48.5 million GVA to the regional economy annually.
