Oxi-Tech have installed its latest beverage system at Sandford Orchards Cider Works in Devon, delivered in partnership with our beverage partner, Stratos 3.
Founder and CEO of Sandford Orchards, Barny Butterfield is widely recognised as one of the most pioneering and sustainability-focused brands in the drinks industry. With a deep commitment to the South West region and a track record of staying one step ahead of the competition, the cidery continues to set new benchmarks for innovation and responsibility.
The new system has been installed to replace the hot water, energy, and chemicals traditionally used in the plant’s ‘Clean in Place’ disinfection and cleaning process. Over the coming months, the installation will be subject to close scrutiny and laboratory trials to fully validate its performance.
Paul Morris, CEO of Oxi-Tech, commented:
“Stratos and Sandford Orchards are ideal partners for Oxi-Tech. Their shared focus on sustainability, reducing carbon footprints, and supporting the wider region makes this initiative a natural fit. We see this as the next step in advancing our chemical-free beverage disinfection programme.”
Jason Wise, Director of Stratos 3, added:
“We are delighted to be working with innovative clients like Sandford Orchards. This project gives us another opportunity to showcase the power of Pulse Oxidation, and we are excited to see the efficiencies and benefits the Sandford team will be able to achieve.”
Barny Butterfield, Founder of Sandford Orchards, added:
“We are proud and excited to be working with a fellow Devon business prepared to put innovation and sustainability right at the heart of what they do. Cleanliness is utterly essential in quality cider making, to be able to do it without any chemicals is like some sort of miracle”
