POd (Pulse Oxidation) for dairy farmers will once again be eligible for FETF (The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund). The opportunity to apply will open up during 2025 at a date yet to be announced.
Oxi-Tech was also highlighted as a core technology in the new ADOPT Government initiative of direct funding from DEFRA in order to speed up roll out of critical, innovative technologies across farming from decades to just a few years.
“This welcome news was made at the NFU conference on 25 February by DEFRA Minister, Steve Reed who not only stated FETF was to resume with a spring 2025 launch of grants of between £1,000 and £25,000 available, but he also singled out Oxi-Tech and POd as one of the technologies for which the new ADOPT programme was designed,” comments Oxi-Tech’s CEO, Paul Morris.
The Minster said: ‘We will help farms of any size access technology that makes a real difference to the bottom-line over the years ahead. Like the chemical-free cleaning for integrated milking equipment by Oxi-Tech – with research previously funded through the Farming Innovation Programme, which boosts profits by lowering energy costs and chemical use.’
Paul Morris adds: “FETF and ADOPT will provide a great opportunity for all dairy farmers to radically change their milking system’s cleaning and disinfection routine by going chemical-free.
